FEATURED AUTHOR Kay Ryan
Librarian of Congress James H. Billington announced the appointment of Kay Ryan as 16th Poet Laureate for 2008-2009. Born in 1945, Ryan grew up in the southwest. Her work has "This quality of simplicity...She takes you through little images to see a very ordinary thing or ordinary sentiment in a more suble and deeper way" said Billington.
